Safety and Operation Training on Methane Gasholder

Sludge digestion in the sewage treatment works and production of towngas would generate methane gas and towngas. These two gases would be temporarily stored inside the methane/ towngas gasholder before use.

As Hong Kong is deficiency of the expert of gasholder, Dunwell Engineering Co., Ltd. works with the expert from gas engineering company – Lazarus & Associate Limited to provide total four-days training to the staff from the Drainage Services Department and Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited. This training was held at the end of Jan., 2007 and covered the mechanism, operation, safety, inspection and maintenance of gasholder. More than 100 engineering staff participated this training.
